Amendments introduced into information on port Vyborg in RF Register of Seaports
By Rosmorrechflot regulation dated 29.06.2015 No. ЮК-227-р amendments have been introduced into the information on port Vyborg in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation, Rosmorport says.
The amendments are primarily caused by the update of the main specifications of port Vyborg connected with the changes in the number of berths and moorage wall length, capacity of cargo terminals and area of storage facilities. In particular, 6 obsolete berths have been taken out of service.
Besides, maximum breadth of vessels allowed to call the port has been increased to 25 meters.
The port of Vyborg was founded in 1293 on the crossroads of waterways between the Gulf of Finland and the navigable system of the Saimaa lakes and the Vuoksa river. Its berths stretch along the coastline of the Vyborg Bay. In HI’2015, operators of Vyborg terminals handled 690,000 t of cargo (-15%, year-on-year).
