    INMEX SMM India 2015 to bring together maritime industry professionals on Sept. 23-25

    INMEX SMM India 2015 – a merger of the reputed INMEX India and SMM India - an International Maritime Exhibition and Conference on 23-25 September will host the largest gathering of industry professionals from the maritime and shipping sectors at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India, the event organizer Informa Exhibitions said.

    The INMEX India exhibition covers 16, 000 sqm of exhibition space and has an international conference that runs alongside. There will be over 500 participating companies from 42 countries, with over 7,000 industry visitors attending over three days. Also present are nine country pavilions from Germany, Holland, Norway, Singapore China, Denmark, Finland, Italy and the UK that will be showcasing products and innovations never seen before.

    Today, India is building the future of the shipping industry using its advantages like strong maritime tradition and powerful influence with many of the world’s major ship operators. That’s why for exhibitors, both international and national, being present at INMEX SMM India is a crucial step towards being seen by the industry.

    With the Indian shipping market now gaining momentum in making a healthy recovery, industry experts are debating the impact to expect of the government’s new ‘Make in India’ initiative and what needs to be done to maintain a sustainable growth path. This will be one of many hot debates at the upcoming INMEX SMM India Conference, taking place alongside the INMEX SMM Exhibition.

    The two-day conference will touch upon key issues within the shipping industry and have industry experts share their perspectives about the foreseeable future.
    The INMEX Conference themed as ‘’One Maritime Voice’ attracts high profile speakers discussing issues and solutions for the shipping industry. It focuses on trends and developments in the maritime industry and includes international country presentations featuring their involvement with India.   

    The global shipping industry is increasingly looking to India for shipbuilding, ship repair among other services while the Indian maritime sector is set to attain a size of USD 80 billion by the year 2020.

    INMEX SMM India is the bi-annual meeting point for key shipping companies, Navy, Coast Guards, ship builders and designers, port authorities, offshore and rig companies, ship management companies and other maritime professionals to drive growth in shipping investment and development across emerging markets globally.

    The three-day event will host more than 200 primary exhibitors and showcases about 10 international pavilions. Hundreds of executive-level Conference delegates and over 7,000 visitors are forecasted to attend. INMEX SMM India has the support of several key government associations and trade media.

    Exhibition titans Hamburg Messe und Congress Gmbh (organisers of the former SMM India) and Informa Exhibitions (organisers of the former INMEX India) have joined hands to showcase the largest maritime gathering of South Asia organize INMEX SMM India 2015.
