CMA CGM implements Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge in Matadi, DRC

Vessel delay in Matadi due to port congestion is worsening and reaching up to 30 days with a severe disruption of CMA CGM services and additional operational costs, the company said in its press release.
CMA CGM will therefore implement an Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge as follows:
 From all origins
 To Matadi
 Quantum: USD 1,000 / EUR 900 per Reefer container
 Effective as from June 1st, 2015 (B/L date)
 Except for USA : July 1st, 2015 (B/L date)
This surcharge comes on top of the PCS already applicable since March 1st, 2015, and amounting to USD 300 / EUR 270 per Reefer container.
