'K' Line enhances its eastern India service with NYK, RCL, Samudera

Japan's "K" Line is to enhance its east India coverage with the introduction of a new service offered through slots on the Thai-Chennai Express service (TCX/RTC), offered by NYK, RCL, Samudera and Sea Consortium, Shippingazette reports.
The first sailing is scheduled to depart from Laem Chabang on September 7. The TCX connects Singapore, Port Kelang, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Port Kelang, Singapore, Laem Chabang and Singapore.
According to the Paris-based maritime consultancy Alphaliner, the service complements K Line's coverage of eastern India as it adds to the Indfex 2 service, offered jointly by "K" Line, Shipping Corp of India, PIL and Hanjin.
The Infex 2 calls at Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Singapore, Hong Kong and Busan.
