Alam Maritim inks $74m charter deal with ExxonMobil
Alam Maritim Resources received a letter of award from ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc for the provision of one unit accommodation vessel and one anchor handling tug (AHT) unit, Seatrade Asia online reports. The charter contract is valued at up to RM220.83m ($74m), according to a statement from Alam Maritim.
The charter contract for the two vessels is for a period of three years with an extension option exercisable by ExxonMobil for another two years.
“The contract is expected to positively contribute to the earnings and net assets of Alam Maritim for the financial year ending 31 December 2011 and beyond,” Alam Maritim said.
