Yangfan Group to build two 1.110 TEU containerships for SITC

SITC International Holdings has exercised an option to build two containerships with Yangfan Group. The two containerships of 1,100 teu each, valued at a total of $36.2m, are scheduled to be delivered by 31 August 2012, according to a statement by SITC on Friday, Seatrade Asia online reports. China-based SITC said the newbuildings will enable the company to expand its self-owned fleet of containerships to meet the increase in demand for the company’s services.

There are three subsidiary shipyards consist of Zhoushan Shipyard, Zhejiang East Coast Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd., Dashenzhou Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Co., Ltd,and four subsidiary marine outfitting companies consist of Zhejiang Yangfan Marine Fittings Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yangfan General-use Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd , Zhoushan Yongjin Marine Fittings Co., Ltd.and Zhejiang Yang Fan Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Achieved the total industrial ouput value of $5 billion,$4 billion in revenue in 2009. Total shipbuilding capacity of Yangfan Group exceeds two million deadweight tonnage.
