STS Logistics handles heavy lift for Boguchansk HPP

STS Logistics has successfully delivered from the Ukrainian port of Mariupol to Krasnoyarsk 3 transformers intended for Boguchanskaya hydropower plant, the company said.


The delivery began in June. The transformers each weighing about 200 tons with dimensions 8x3x4 m were loaded onto river barges in Siberia and shipped via the Yenisei River to the town of Kodinsk, the pier of Boguchanskaya HPP.


Previously, STS Logistics had delivered the first 3 hydroelectric generating sets and 4 sets of heavier transformers to the hydropower facility. In 2009, to deliver the project cargo the company used up to 12 special heavy trucks.
