Russian shipping industry will need at least 1,900 vessels until 2020 of total value of USD 42 billion, an expert said.
Valentin Krylov, Academician, Head of the Central Research Institute named after Krylov told an international conference "Russian shipbuilding and shipping, ports operations, development of the shelf and the ocean, hosted in St. Petersburg, that the country’s demand for new fleet includes 260 sea-going cargo carriers and 175 service vessels.
