ASW ship Severomorsk calls at Tartus, Syria
The crew of Northern Fleet (NF) large ASW ship Severomorsk headed by Capt 1 rank Andrei Klimenko after termination of anti-piracy mission in the Gulf of Aden entered the Mediterranean Sea via Suez Canal and has visited Syrian port Tartus, Rusnavy reported.
During the 3-day long formal call at Tartus, Severomorsk replenished food and water supplies, and the crew had a shore-leave.
The ship was visited by representatives of Russian embassy to the Syrian Arab Republic.
Currently, large ASW ship Severomorsk heads for Spanish enclave Ceuta located at African side of the Gibraltar Strait. After that, the ship will make for homebase.
