Alex de Bonth replaces Eijsink as MD at OTR
Geert Eijsink, Managing Director at Odfjell Terminals (Rotterdam) (OTR), has been suspended from his position with immediate effect, Odfjell press release said.
Alex de Bonth has been appointed as interim Managing Director of OTR and will serve in this position while we undertake a search for a permanent Managing Director of OTR. Mr. de Bonth has served as an external consultant for OTR for a number of months. Mr. de Bonth brings considerable management experience through his prior roles as chief executive officer of Pemco International, chief operating officer of Almatis and chief operating officer of Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals.
Mr. de Bonth will report to Åke Gregertsen, who rejoined Odfjell on 25 July 2012 as Interim President of Odfjell Terminals B.V. Mr. Gregertsen has previously served in senior positions in Odfjell, including as President of Odfjell Terminals (Houston) from 1996 to 2001 and as Senior Vice President of Odfjell Terminals from 2001 to 2002. Until the situation at OTR has been substantially improved, Mr. Gregertsen will focus his attention primarily on OTR and will endeavor to bring all of the necessary resources to Rotterdam.
