Vostochnaya Shipyard foils launching of APEC Summit-2012 catamaran (photo release)
JSC Vostochnaya Shipyard based in Vladivostok, which leases its yards and facilities to LLC Pacific Marine under a lease contract, blocked the launching of the third catamaran, being manufactured at this shipyard under the project of LLC Composite Shipbuilding for the transportation of guests and participants of the APEC Summit-2012.
According to an expert of the Maritime Chamber of Commerce (PortNews obtained a copy of the expert opinion), LLC Pacifico Marine failed to roll out the boat of its construction hall to the water as the yard owner left metal keel blocks on the way.
The high-speed craft was scheduled to be launched on 5 or 10 August, 2012, and Vostochnaya Shipyard authorities were informed about the launch in advance. However, as of now the vessel stays in the covered dock.
The tools for launching still remains at the factory gate, and the yard owner does not permit to get it inside the territory. Today, August 10, they thwarted the launching, and the ceremony has been postponed to August 13." As Pacifico Marin told PortNews,"
