Aegean to set up physical bunker supply presence in Hong Kong
Aegean Marine Petroleum has setting physical bunker fuel supply operations in Hong Kong, Seatrade Asia online reports. Aegean initially plans to deploy one double-hulled tanker in Hong Kong from its operations in Singapore. Hong Kong port as a whole is expected to sell roughly 5m tonnes of marine fuel this year.
"We are pleased to once again expand our global network for the physical supply of marine fuel by strengthening our strategic presence in the Far East. The Port of Hong Kong is a major transportation hub serving critical global and intra-Asia shipping routes as well as passenger ferries,” said Nikolas Tavlarios, president of Aegean Marine Petroleum.
