Wan Hai Lines, Interasia Lines and Mitsui-OSK Lines (MOL) have reached an agreement to cooperate on the Japan-Indonesia service called CHS3.
The CHS3 service was launched in March 2012 using 2,500 TEU ships, while WHL deploys similar vessel size in a separate New Super 1(NS1) service.
In order to provide customers with more direct service linkages between Japan and Southeast Asia, WHL's NS1 service will merge with MOL's CHS3 service. The new CHS3 service will now deploy four Panamax vessels.
The first sailing is scheduled to depart Hong Kong northbound on September 6. The CHS3 service rotation is Osaka, Yokkaichi, Yokohama, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Jakarta, Port Klang, Singapore, Cai Mep, Hong Kong, Osaka.
