Russia to hand over first Kilo class sub to Vietnam in spring 2013 - source
The first of a series of six diesel-powered submarines of Project 636, Kilo class, which are being constructed at St. Petersburg-based Admiralty Shipyards for Vietnam, is scheduled for launching on August 28 and to be delivered to the Customer in the spring of next year, a source familiar with the matter told Interfax news agency.
After launching the warship the shipyard will commence dock-side and sea trials. According to the source, the Project 636 submarine will be ready for delivery in the spring of next year.
