Throughput of Russian seaports in 2M’18 grew by 4.4% Y-o-Y to 121.7 million tonnes (detalization)
In January-February 2018, seaports of Russia handled 121.7 million tonnes of cargo (up 4.4%, year-on-year), says press center of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry cargo totaled 55.4 million tonnes (+12.0%) including 22.4 million tonnes of coal (+7.5%), 7.9 million tonnes of containerized cargo (+13.8%), 6.8 million tonnes of grain (+52.0%), 5.1 million tonnes of ferrous metal (+14.3%), 2.9 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-8.5%) and 419,000 tonnes of refrigerated cargo (-7.2%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 66.3 million tonnes (-1.1%) including 38.4 million tonnes of crude oil (-3.6%), 23.6 million tonnes of oil products (-1.7%) and 3.4 million tonnes of liquefied gas (+34.9%).
Exports totaled 94.8 million tonnes (+2.7%), imports - 5.5 million tonnes (+13.5%), transit – 10.1 million tonnes(+18.1%), short-sea traffic - 11.3 million tonnes (+4.1%).
Operators of seaports in the Arctic Basin handled 12.7 million tonnes (+21.9%) including 4.5 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+16.4%) and 8.2 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo млн т (+25.2%). The port of Murmansk handled 8.6 million tonnes (+16.7%), Varandei - 1.1 million tonnes (-19.0%).
Operators of seaports in the Baltic Basin handled 38.7 million tonnes (-3.7%) including 16.6 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+12.3%) and 22.0 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-13.0%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 16.6 million tonnes (+5.8 %), Primorsk - 7.5 million tonnes (-31.6%), Big Port St. Petersburg - 9.0 million tonnes (+11.2%), Vysotsk - 3.0 million tonnes (-5.5%).
Operators of seaports in the Azov-Black Sea Basin handled 39.9 million tonnes (+9.3 %) including 16.1 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+15.2%) and 23.8 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+5.7%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 24.4 million tonnes (+11.4%), Tuapse - 4.4 million tonnes (+1.6 %), Kavkaz - 2.7 million tonnes (-10.5%), Taman - 2.2 million tonnes (-8.3%), Rostov-on-Don - 2.0 million tonnes (+44.8%), Kerch - 1.2 million tonnes (-4.1%).
Operators of seaports in the Caspian Basin handled 851,100 tonnes (+58.0%) including 468,000 tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+14.1%) and 382,000 tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+198.9%). The port of Makhachkala handled 457,000 tonnes (+243%), Astrakhan – 337,900 tonnes (-12.0 %), Olya – 56,200 tonnes (+159.0%).
Operators of seaports in the Far East Basin handled 29.6 million tonnes (+2.3%) including 17.6 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+7.9%) and 11.9 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-5.0%). Port Vostochny handled 10.8 million tonnes (+1.6%), Vanino - 4.3 million tonnes (-0.4%), Nakhodka - 3.8 million tonnes (+2.0%), Prigorodnoye - 3.0 million tonnes (-3.7%), Vladivostok - 3.1 million tonnes (+26.9%), Posiet - 1.1 million tonnes (-17.1%), De-Castri – 1.9 million tonnes (+0.7 %).
Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport. ASOP comprises commercial seaports, forwarding and agency companies, scientific research institutes and marine educational institutions.
