Marine Systems Corp. launches a new fuel spill prevention device

US-based Clean Marine Systems Corp. has launched a new fuel spill prevention device called the Fuel Spill Saver.
According to the maker of automated electronic control devices for fluid handling, bilge effluent is the number one cause of pollution in marinas, and fuel spillage during refueling is the number two cause of pollution in American waterways.
"The Fuel Spill Saver prevents any fuel from spilling into our waterways.  It accomplishes this by alerting the fuel attendant that the desired fuel level has been reached," said the company in a press release.
"Solid state electronics and a unique sensor detect the fuel level precisely and alert the attendant with bright red LED's and a loud buzzer," stated the company.
Currently the Fuel Spill Saver may be purchased as a hand-held device or can be installed near the fuel inlets.
"All boat manufacturers can install the Fuel Spill Saver easily and quickly."
The company added that the device also "eliminates the need for fuel vents that release fuel into the marinas.  The fuel vents can now simply vent the fuel tanks to atmosphere and without spilling fuel as they do today."
"We are now bringing this product to market at a price that everyone can afford.  We believe that all boaters should have the option to help keep our marinas clean," said Clean Marine Systems Corp. President and CEO Perry Anderson.
