NYK to revamp its USEC-ECSA ANS service from September

Japanese shipping and logistics group NYK says it has restructured its US east coast and east coast of South Africa service, the Atlantic North-South Express Service (ANS).
A company statement said the upgraded service will commence in September using six NYK-operated vessels to cover the main ports on the east coast of South America, Venezuela, Dominican Republic and the east coast of North America.
The port rotation will be: Navegantes, Santos, Vitoria, Puerto Sucre, Caucedo, Norfolk, New York, Savannah, Caucedo, Puerto Cabello, Navegantes.
The first vessel under this revised structure will be the Sanuki 01 which is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Norfolk on the southbound leg of the journey on September 23, it said.
The revised ANS service will deploy six 1,100-TEU vessels on a fixed-day weekly schedule.
