Aker Solutions ASA receives new drilling equipment contracts

Norwegian engineering, construction and technology group Aker Solutions ASA (OSE: AKSO) said on Friday (13 September) that its subsidiary, Aker MH AS, has received two new drilling equipment contracts from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co Ltd (DSME) in Korea.

The contracts, valued at a total of USD235m, cover delivery of complete drilling equipment packages for two ultra deepwater drillships under construction.

The packages include engineering, equipment deliveries and commissioning services.

Aker Solutions (formerly Aker Kvaerner), headquartered in Oslo, Norway, operates within oil & gas, refining & chemicals, mining & metals and power generation. The group has some 24,000 employees in 30 countries and has annual revenue of NOK58bn. The company's largest shareholder is the Norwegian holding group Aker ASA (40.27%).

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 9.86 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
