DB Schenker shifts southern Norway activities to new Ganddal terminal
DB Schenker has bundled the activities of its country organisation, Schenker AS, at a new location in Ganddal near Stavanger in southwestern Norway. The new 3,300 m2 terminal handles national and international land shipments, providing freight distribution services to forty destinations in the Rogaland region.
The new facility close to the highway improves connections to the north, and its location directly adjacent to a rail terminal will allow more shipments to be transferred from road to rail. A shuttle service already links Oslo to Ganddal.
The new terminal features 43 loading bays and 2,300 m2 of heated warehousing.
The new facility replaces the previous locations near the centre of Stavanger, and offers greater capacity for future growth.
