Sinotrans and Changjiang Shipping to merge by year end

The proposed merger between two Chinese transport giants, Changjiang Shipping and Sinotrans, will happen by year end according to sources connected to the deal. Sinotrans, China’s leading logistics player, will absorb the Yangtze shipping firm as part of the government’s aim to consolidate maritime firms. As well as bulkers and tankers Changjiang Shipping has four shipyards and an emerging marine equipment park.
