First Cargo Company resumes cargo shipment to Ukraine
First Cargo Company OJSC has resumed shipment of cargo to Ukraine, the company informs. Shipment of cargo in open-top wagons to Ukraine was terminated on September 18 due to unauthorized "capture" of open-top wagons by Ukrainian side, which had violated earlier agreement on the use of rolling stock of FCC within Ukrainian territory.
Following the termination Ukrainian Railroads (Ukrzaliznitsa) undertook measures to prevent unauthorized use of FCC wagons.
First Cargo Company OJSC is the largest operator of railway transportation in Russia. The company was set up in July 2007. As of today, the company owns over 200,000 units of rolling stock. The company’s major shareholder is Russian Railways OJSC.
