OZD to allocate RUR 36 bln for development of railway approaches to port Ust-Luga in 2009-2010

In 2009 and 2010 OZhD (Oktybrskaya Railway, branch of Russian Railways OJSC) will allocate RUR 36 bln (16 bln in 2009 and 20 bln in 2010) for the development of railway approaches to the port of Ust-Luga. According to Gudok, ITAR-TASS quoted Viktor Stepov, OZhD head, as saying this at the press conference on October 1.

According to Stepov, in 2008 OZhD invests RUR 14 bln for the above purpose. Further development of railway approaches will depend on the development of the port itself.
