Transneft considers extending ESPO pipeline to China

Transneft has submitted a feasibility study into the construction of an extension of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline for government expert review, the oil transportation company's President Nikolai Tokarev said during a meeting on the pipeline chaired by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. In turn, China has also conducted a feasibility study for the building of a 960-kilometer pipeline to Daqing. Tokarev stressed that China had contributed $37m to fund the study, RBC reports.
