Kuehne + Nagel builds a new logistics hub in Hamburg, and opens a new branch office in Bergen.
Kuehne + Nagel is expanding its position in the Greater Hamburg area with the construction of a new warehousing and handling facility in Obergeorgswerder.
To be built on a 120,000 m2 plot of land situated right at the motorway intersection Sued, the new €50 million logistics centre will include 45,000 m2 of warehousing and handling space.
Kuehne + Nagel will consolidate its contract logistics and overland transport activities in the Greater Hamburg area in the new facility.
Construction has already begun on the new facility, and is expected to be completed with one year.
In other news, Kuehne + Nagel has officially opened a new branch office in Bergen, Norway, close to Bergen's city centre, airport and regional ports, situated on the West Coast.
The new office will offer sea and airfreight services supplemented by tailor-made solutions for the project and oil & gas sector.
