State Duma of throughput Russian Federation has included river ports into the list of geographic objects. The Law On Introducing Amendments to the Federal Law On the Names of Geographical Objects was passed by Russia's lower chamber of parliament on the final, third, reading on Friday, SD’s department on relations with media reports.
According to the amendments the list of geographic objects is to include river ports. The procedure of naming and renaming of geographic objects is to be applied in the territory of Russia’s continental shelf, exclusive economic zone of Russia as well as its inland waters ant territorial sea.
In September State Duma passed the draft law broadening the powers of RF subjects’ authorities in terms of river ports operation on the first reading.
