In January-September, 2008, Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 14.6 million tonnes of cargo (-2%, year-on-year), the company’s press center teports.
In the reported period, transshipment of oil cargo amounted to 10.9 mln t, dry cargo – 3.7 million tonnes. In January-September the company handled 703 vessels (including 338 vessels - in oil loading district, 365 – in dry cargo district) and over 58,000 tank wagons.
Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC is the main operator in the port of Tuapse, one of Russia’s largest ports. In 2007, its throughput totaled 19.6 million tonnes including 14.1 million tonnes of oil cargo and 5.5 million tonnes of general cargo.
