Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday that Regional Development Minister Dmitry Kozak would be appointed deputy prime minister in charge of preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, ITAR-TASS reported according to Prime-Tass.
At the same time, Viktor Basargin, the deputy presidential envoy to the Urals Federal District, will replace Kozak as regional development minister, Medvedev also said, adding that he would sign the relevant rulings soon.
Earlier Tuesday, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin proposed appointing a new deputy prime minister in charge of preparations for the Olympics.
