APM and DP World bid for Scandia Container Terminal
Port operators APM Terminals and DP World have both made bids to acquire Scandia Container Terminal at the Port of Gothenburg in Sweden, according to industry sources, reported Esmerk Swedish News.
The Swedish terminal manages about 800,000 TEUs and will be sold as part of a privatisation process by Gothenburg municipality.
APM Terminals, owned by Danish shipping group AP Møller Maersk, has interests in 61 terminals in 33 countries, while DP World, owned by Dubai World, controls 60 terminals.
