PSV Caspian Provider to be deployed in Azerbaijan
Marine Division of Renaissance Services has acquired the Caspian Provider, a modern platform supply vessel (PSV), to be operated in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea on a four-year contract worth more than $ 40 million, Trend reports.
The vessel will be based in Baku, working under the contract with BP, which was won in 2008 by Topaz Energy and Marine, a subsidiary of Renaissance Services. The Caspian Provider will join the fleet of ships under the management of the Azerbaijani unit of Topaz Energy and Marine - BUE Caspian company.
The Caspian Provider was ordered in 2010 and built at the Norway-based Simek Shipyard for $ 32 million. The PSV is expected to start operating in early October.
