RZD Board taps Kirill Androsov as Chairman
The Board of Directors of JSC Russian Railways named Kirill Androsov as the Board Chairman to replace Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, the company said Friday.
Earlier, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev had ordered Russian Government’s officials to leave the boards of directors of state-owned companies by October 1.
Kirill Androsov was born in Murmansk in 1972. In 1994 he graduated from St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University. In the 1990s he worked in the Committee on City Property Management of St. Petersburg, being in charge of economic and investment issues.
From 2000 through 2004 he worked as First Deputy General Director of JSC Lenenergo, In 2004-2008 – as Director of the Department of State Tariff Regulation and Infrastructural Reforms, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
In 2008, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin appointed Kirill Androsov Deputy Chief of the Russian Government Administration. Since 2008 he has been the Board member of Aeroflot - Russian Airlines, and from 2010 - managing partner of Altera Capital.
