Royal Caribbean Cruises announces that the company’s fuel surcharges no longer will apply to new Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises. The agreement covers bookings made on or after November 10, 2008, for sailings that depart on or after January 1, 2010. The decision was taken due to the recent reductions in global fuel prices. Royal Caribbean will use guidelines to determine whether passengers will pay surcharges on previously booked voyages for 2009 or later.
