Jasa Merin bags offshore charter contracts
Malaysia-based Jasa Merin clinched contracts worth MYR57.42m ($18.5m) to provide three offshore support vessels to oil major ExxonMobil, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The subsidiary of Kuala Lumpur-listed Silk Holdings will provide one anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel and two straight supply vessels (SSVs) from early August 2012 for a term of three years for the AHTS vessel and one year for the SSVs. The contracts have an option exercisable by ExxonMobil to extend for one more year.
“The contracts in total... are expected to contribute positively to Silk Group earnings and assets for the financial year ending 31 July 2013, and beyond,” Silk Holdings said in a statement.
