  MSC announce bunker and peak season surchanges

  

  Container line Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) has announced Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) and Bunker Compensation (BUC) rates coming into effect from September 1st, 2012, Ship & Bunker reports.
  
  A PSS of $300 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) will be applied to cargo for the Cheetah Service from any Asian port to South & East Africa, Indian Ocean and Mozambique.
  
  A BUC of $860 per TEU will apply to cargo from Asia to West and East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea, the U.K., North West Continent, Scandinavia/Baltic and North Africa.
  
  BUC's between €450 ($550) and $910 per TEU have also been announced for all cargo between North Europe & Mediterranean and South Americas West Coast & Central America / Venezuela ports.
