Rosgranitsa sets Big Port checkpoint’s boundaries
In spite of numerous difficulties, the limits of a border crossing post located at Big Port St. Petersburg have finally been approved, the Northwest regional Agency for Development of the State Border Facilities of Russia (Rosgranitsa) said.
However, Rosgranitsa did not include the terminal Baltimore in the post boundaries (according to available data, the Ministry of Transportation is preparing a justification for the terminal inclusion in the area for consideration by the Russian government).
Overall, the Big Port St. Petersburg will have 14-15 areas of the checkpoint created. Baltic Bulker Terminal (BBT), Petersburg Oil Terminal and Container Terminal Saint Petersburg have been included in the territory.
Besides, the interdepartmental commission has found that the checkpoint for yachts in Fort Constantine meets all the requirements. The order on inauguration of the yachts checkpoint is expected to be published by 15 September 2012.
