Safmarine buys two new vessels
South African container shipping line Safmarine has named the second of the two vessels that it will take delivery of this year.
The Maersk-owned shipping line named the 3,100teu ship the Safmarine Benguela at a ceremony in Korea.
The ship takes its name from the Benguela current, which flows along Southern Africa’s west coast. It will be deployed on Safmarine’s Europe-South America service.
