New tanker for PRISCO launched in South Korea
PRISCO new tanker launching took place at the factory Hyudai Heavy Industries Offshore in Ulsan city (Republic of Korea), vladivostoktimes.com reports. This is the fifth vessel from the series which consists of six tankers with deadweight of 104 thousand tons, the company press service reported to RIA PrimaMedia. The tanker is about 244 meters at length and 42 meters at width. The vessel pair case and ice class will provide save crude oil transportation.
The launching process was differed from regular one. At first the vessel was moved from site area to barge. Then the barge was shipped out where the tanker was launched. After it the vessel was tied up at a wharf to continue works. During a month the shipbuilders will finish rigging the tanker with necessary equipment and test all systems and mechanisms. At the beginning of May the tanker “Zaliv Anadir” will be excepted for exploitation.
