Klaipedos Nafta plans lower profit in 2009
In 2009 the state-owned oil products terminal and load company Klaipedos Nafta plans a lower profit compared to that of previous year. In its financial report for 2008, the company announces that this year it plans to earn a pre-tax profit of 11.9 million litas (3.5 million euros), 2.8 times less compared to 2008, when it stood at 33.04 million litas (9.7 million euros).
Therefore, the company's profitability returns to the year of 2007, when its profit stood at 11.17 million litas (3.3 million euros). The company's net profit last year stood at 28.6 million litas, 3.3 times more than in 2007 whet it totalled 8.74 million litas (2.56 million euros), informs ELTA.
This year the company plans to load 7.1 million tones of oil products, almost 14% less compared to 2008 when 8.2 million tones were loaded. Over the first quarter of this year, Klaipedos Nafta loaded 1.95 million tones of oil products, a decrease of 11.6% year-on-year, and its revenues dropped 9% to 29.2 million litas (8.6 million euros).
