The first alliance, with the China-based cargo agent, has helped boost INTTRA's growth in the region by more than 350% in 2006, says Michael Nielsen, INTTRA's Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Sales. "This significant increase in growth demonstrates the value of e-commerce in practice for shippers who are seeking to streamline and standardize their ocean shipment processes."
INTTRA is the largest e-commerce platform for the ocean industry with 22 of the world's largest ocean carriers in its network, representing 61 percent of the ocean freight capacity among the world's top carriers.
