In January-November 2013, Russian seaports handled 538.5 mln t of cargo (+3.5%, year-on-year), says Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry cargo increased by 0.6% to 233.3 mln t including 92.7 mln t of coal (+13.5%), 40.7 mln t of containerized cargo (+3.9%), 11.8 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+24.0%), 6.8 mln t of ore (+3.1%). Transshipment of ferrous metal dropped to 20.0 mln t (-16.2%), grain – to 16.0 mln t (-30.1%), timber – to 4.1 mln t (-26.5%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo hit 305.2 mln t (+5.9%) including 190.4 mln t of crude oil (+4.9%).
Transshipment of export cargo increased by 2.5% to 420.8 mln t, import cargo transshipment was – 42.4 mln t (+2.6%), transit cargo – 42.8 mln t (+9.2%), coastal trade cargo – 32.5 mln t (+12.1%).
Operators of the Arctic Basin handled 42.0 mln t of cargo (+19.7%, year-on-year) including 22.6 mln t of dry cargo (+2.5%), liquid bulk cargo - 19.4 mln t (up 1.5 times). The growth of liquid bulk transshipment was driven by the increase of Belokamenka terminal throughput. Total throughput of port Murmansk hit 28.2 mln t (+32.4%), Varandey – 4.9 mln t (up 1.8 times). Throughput of port Arkhangelsk dropped to 4.1 mln t (-15.2%), Vitino – to 2.3 mln t (-33.7%).
The ports of the Baltic Basin handled 198.5 mln t (+4.0%) including 75.3 mln t of dry cargo (+8.4%), 123.2 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+1.5%). Throughput of port Ust-Luga hit 57.5 mln t (+35.6%), Vysotsk - 14.8 mln t (+19.9%), Kaliningrad - 12.5 mln t (+8.7%). At the same time, port Primorsk decreased transshipment to 58.9 mln t (-15.1%), Big Port St. Petersburg – to 53.3 mln t (-0.8%).
Throughput of Azov - Black Sea ports fell by 2.3% to 158.9 mln t including 56.6 mln t of dry cargo (-12.0%) and 102.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+4.1%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 102.8 mln t (-4.6%), Tuapse - 16.1 mln t (-1.6%), Rostov-on-Don - 10.0 mln t (-4.7%), Kavkaz - 7.3 mln t (-16.7%).
The ports of the Caspian Basin handled 7.2 mln t of cargo (-24.3%, year-on-year) including 2.8 mln t of dry cargo (-37.3%) and 4.4 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-12.9%). Throughput of port Makhachkala fell by 16.9%, Astrakhan – by 28.8%, Olya - 2.7 times.
Seaports of the Far East Basin handled 131.9 mln t of cargo (+7.9%) including 76.1 mln t of dry cargo (+6.0%) and 55.8 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+10.6%). Port Vostochny handled 44.1 mln t (+14.4%), Vanino - 21.6 mln t (+18.7%), Nakhodka - 16.6 mln t (+7.7%), Vladivostok - 13.3 mln t (+9.0%), Prigorodnoye 14.6 mln t (-1.9%), De-Castri - 6.4 mln t (-6.5%), Posiet - 5.1 mln t (–5.4%).
Association of Sea Commercial Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport.
