Den Hartogh Logistics has taken over parts of Extar, specialized in liquid bulk transports to and from eastern Europe. Den Hartogh itself is also active in this market and fits the Extar branches in St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Ukraine into its own network. Moreover it adds 800 Extar tank containers to its own fleet of 2200. Den Hartogh wants to strengthen its position in central and eastern Europe further.
