SSC Ferries OÜ that announced of one year's break from operating the Mõntu-Ventspils shipping route is being liquidated, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA.
SSC Ferries is a subsidiary of the Saaremaa Laevakompanii owned by businessman Vjatsheslav Leedo.
The Saaremaa-Ventspils shipping route was opened in the year 2005.
Last year, the enterprise earned a loss of 4.8 million kroons with the turnover of 10.1 million kroons that had grown by 40 per cent in the year-on-year comparison. Third of the turnover came from Estonia.
The Saaremaa-Venspils route never managed to earn a profit.
