Throughput of port Temryuk up 5.67% to 1.19 mln t in H1 09

In the first half of 2009, port Temryuk handled 1.19 million tonnes of cargo (+5.67%, year-on-year), PortNews IAA learnt from the port Administration. In the reported period, transshipment of export cargo increased by 20.3%, year-on-year, to 1,119,720 tonnes, while import fell by 63.99% to 70,300 tonnes. The number of vessels handled in the reported period has not changed  - 354 vessels.

Throughput of the port’s largest stevedoring company – Sotra Port CJSC – increased by 42.33% to 626,500 tonnes while the other large stevedore – Temryukmortrans LLC handled 287,0500 tonnes of cargo (-28.37%.
