Maersk revises Northern Europe-Mediterranean service

Maersk Line said July 9 it will revise the port coverage and rotation of its Euromed service between Northern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean as of July 20 and add a new feeder service to increase capacity for shipments to Egypt and Israel.
The revised rotation, which will begin with the sailing of the Maersk Bintan, will be Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Alexandria, Port Said, Haifa, Ashdod, Gioia Tauro and back to Felixstowe.
The revised rotation will drop calls at Gioia Tauro from the southbound rotation and add Haifa. It will add Gioia Tauro to the northbound rotation.
The Danish carrier said it will complement these changes by launching new East-West Mediterranean feeder service to cater to Gioia Tauro-Alexandria volumes as well as other key corridors.
The feeder’s rotation will be Algeciras, Gioia Tauro, Alexandria, Mersin, Izmir and back to Algeciras.
