In the first half of 2009, Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port OJSC handled 612,000 tonnes of cargo (-27.8%, year-on-year), the company officially states. In June, the company handled 109,100 tonnes of cargo (-44.3%, year-on-year).
In the 6-month period, the company handled 26,800 tonnes of non-sea cargo (against 46,300 tonnes in January-June 08), 116,900 tonnes of export cargo (against 435,500 tonnes), 254,200 tonnes of import cargo (against 135,900 tonnes), 214,100 tonnes of coastal trade cargo (against 229,700 tonnes).
In June: transshipment of non-sea cargo – 11,700 tonnes (24,900 t); export – 27,900 t (93,900 t); import – 44,600 t (39,600 t); coastal trade cargo – 24,900 t (37,400 t).
Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port is a multi-profile stevedoring company operating at the port of Archangelsk. It is specialized in transshipment of general cargo, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metal, fertilizers, heavy equipment and dry bulk cargo. ACS’s facilities enable it to handle 4.5 million tonnes of cargo per year. In 2008, Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port handled 1.763.9 million tonnes of cargo.
