OSK net loss under RAS exceeded RUR 37 mln in 2008

In 2008, net loss of the United Shipbuilding Corporation calculated under Russian accounting standards amounted to RUR 37.014 mln, the company’s annual report states. OSK revenues totaled RUR 40.169 mln.

United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK OJSC) with 100% federal ownership was set up in 2007. OSK comprises three daughter companies: Open JSC «Western Center of Shipbuilding» (St.-Petersburg), Open JSC «Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region) and Open JSC «Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Vladivostok) as well as leading design bureaus the projects of which were used to build nuclear and diesel icebreakers, naval ships and commercial vessels, making the core of strategic naval forces of Russia and other states.
