Port Fleet CJSC has taken the delivery of a new ecological vessel Ecomarin-3 for treatment of oily waters. The ceremony was held in the Big Port of St. Petersburg on July 23, the company’s press center reports.
The ecological vessel has been placed at Bely island in the Big Port of St. Petersburg. In early 2008, an agreement on the berth lease was signed between Vofokanal SUE and Port Fleet for 5 years. RUR 5 mln was invested by Port Fleet into the berth reconstruction (sewage and electricity systems).
The construction took 4 years. The hull designed by Port Fleet was built by Akhtubinsk Shipyard (Astrakhan region). The vessel was fitted by Eridan LLC (St. Petersburg). Thetechnology to be applied for treatment is unique in Russia. It was elaborated by PortFleet CJSC.
Introduction of Ecomarin-3 will triple the capacity of oily water treatment in the Big Port of St. Petersburg.
Port Fleet CJSC was set up in 1997. The company operates the fleet of 39 vessels beingable to fulfill any tasks on integrated servicing of vessels both within the harbor watersof the port of St. Petersburg and outside it.
