Cargo handling in Ukrainian seaports down 21.2% to 52.78 mln t in H1 09

In the first half of 2009, Ukrainian seaports handled 52.78 million tonnes of cargo (-21.2%, year-on-year), press center of Ukraine’s Ministry of Transport and Communications reports. 

In the reported period, all types of Ukrainian transport provided services for UAH 22 bln (100.2% against the same period in the previous year). All in all, the companies of the Transport and Communications Ministry carried 241.1 million tonnes of cargo (-31.6%, year-on-year).
