The move comes as Team Lines is withdrawing two of its small container vessels which previously called at the Port of St Petersburg, with a cargo capacity of 868 TEU.
One of the ships will instead be deployed in the charter service and the other will continue to operate in the Baltic without calling at St Petersburg.
The Russian Transport Daily Report said that Team Lines announced in late June that the company would operate in St Petersburg via First Container Terminal and Petrolesport to Rotterdam. Team Lines will call at First Container Terminal and Petrolesport using APL vessels, the report added.
