Lithuanian marine company Limarko Laivininkystes Kompanija AB (LLK) had unaudited revenue in amount of 71.6 million litas in the first half of 2009, the decrease of 7% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, LLK reported to Vilnius Stock Exchange.
The results were presented in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards.
During the first half of 2009 LLK booked EBITDA in amount of 16.1 million litas, and the EBITDA margin was 23%, informs ELTA/LETA.
The EBITDA for the first half of 2008 was 19.4 million litas and the EBITDA margin was 25%.
LLK in the first six months of this year had loss in amount of 2.2 million litas as compared to the pre-tax profit amounting to 11.8 million litas in January-June of the previous year.
The main reasons affecting the results of the first half of 2009 were the decrease in demand for transportation of cargo by sea as a result of economic slowdown and a decrease in freight levels.
Increasing international trade volumes in the second half of the year give reason to expect good results for the company in the future, as representatives ofLLK claimed.
