BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair gets Navy's contract modification worth $15m for USS Ramage

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a $15,060,606 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-10-C-4308) for USS Ramage (DDG-61) fiscal 2014 Selected Restricted Availability (SRA). A SRA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship's military and technical capabilities, the U.S. DoD said in contract annoucements.

Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by November 2014. Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Navy) and fiscal 2014 other procurement (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $15,060,606 will be obligated at time of award. Contract funds in the amount of $13,821,384 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Norfolk Ship Support Activity, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Norfolk Shipo Repair, located in a U.S. Navy mega-port and principal commercial area, is a contractor of the U.S. Navy. Besides, the Norfolk Ship Repair provides services to owners of cruise ships, tankers, ferries, and commercial cargo ships.
